Annie Lexington, Teenink.com
Annie Lexington, the author of "Should Teens Watch R-Rated Movies?" claims that, "Teenagers under 17 should also be allowed to see R rated movies. Teens can handle mature scenes enough because their world is full of same thing." As a teenager myself I can relate to what she is saying. High school is essentially one big R-rated movie. To add to her claim, Lexington wrote, "Most of the teenagers know fantasy is not reality. If the 2-hour movie destroyed the whole thing one has set up in their whole life, that isn’t the movie’s fault." Morals and responsibilities are something that a teen acquires over time. Whether it be from parents and/or siblings more often than not, a film cannot change the years of experience and habits.
